Laura and Johnny met in the world of Skydiving in 2007 and spent the next decade deeply involved in the parachuting industry.  In 2011 the family doubled in size with the birth of their twins, Jemma and Quade.  After starting a family their priorities began to change. The family became anxious to spend more time together and explore new horizons.  In 2018 they purchased a sailboat, named Maia Sophie, a 40ft Northstar Ketch.  They spent next two years preparing to live and travel by sea. Team Kuczaj officially began their voyage as the Seafaring Family in December of 2020.
